I thought I had exhausted the Fresh Prince crossovers, until I came across quite possibly the best one ever crafted - The Fresh Prince of Tallon IV. Oh my god. It's almost too perfect. By the way, the Metroid Prime Trilogy is still the best game ever made in the history of ever.

I only just realized that if I went through the whole comic my plans for a parody-reboot would be shot out of the sky pretty fast since everybody'd know what happens before the pages are made. Which would be bad. But at the same time I don't want to just leave you guys with nothing... So I'll keep this review up a little bit. Until the framework for the 2007-era plot is done.

Speaking of 2007-era stuff, check this shit out: http://www.smackjeeves.com/images/pb/4/4XEVyRXMvkqmEFaX9Zjg2O.png

That's how much I've improved over five years. It's pretty remarkable, I think. I've still got a long way to go, mind you me, but hell. I like the way I draw right now, and want to get even better.

As for the alt-text of the image, I had recently played through the Prime Trilogy again. Yeah, still the best game ever. It's a shame how far Other M fell. Even if it was made to appeal to a Japanese audience, it still failed at that since it still sold badly in Japan. Metroid just isn't that popular over there, anyway. They stopped selling over half-a-million with Fusion and never reached the same sales numbers.

So take that, Japanophiles who say people only like Prime because they're dumb Westerners who don't get Other M. Even the Japanese couldn't stand it.

Well that certainly was an angry tangent I got on. Oh, and don't think I'm joking about the Egg Dragoon thing, because I'm not. I really am not. Do not even try me. Even as a joke, because it would be a dumb joke.

Seeing all the Sonic and Metal Gear pictures here just brings to mind how your various references have been dropping.

That "Names" thing... Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Yes, I saw that. It's a good example of what happens when you give children too much leash in how an actual film is going to run.
(But, hey, "Lug"!)

Metroid: Other M... I'd say these guys give the details out quite nicely.

I didn't grow up with consoles, so I've been trying to catch up with my lost childhood and whatnot. This involves how I finally got a copy of Metroid Prime to understand what all the hubbub was about Metroid. It took me a while to get into it, but when I did, I really got into it!

Anyway, I would encourage the idea of going back to your old Black Rocket concept, and making it out to be a parody of action cartoons. I myself am highly interested in creating a legitimate parody of modern first-person shooters, once I have gotten myself into the videogame industry. Something like these, except bigger, with a real story, and a lot more humor. (A bit of it related to the fourth wall.)

(Last I checked, the second video was called "If Quake was done today".)

@Lugbzurg: I don't even care that much about the rest of your post, now that you've found the majesty of Metroid Prime you have earned infinity respect points.

Nah but seriously, since you mentioned it, I kind of like Sharkboy and Lavagirl. From a kid's story point of view. I used to write stories like that as a kid and so it fills me with a lot of nostalgia when I watch it. Is it technically a good story? Not really, but that was never the point, though the point made about "one man dreams the light bulb as another dreams the atom bomb" was actually pretty clever.

I have a lot of guilty pleasures. Like Lost in Space.

@Zero Kirby: Good ideas, yes. But the execution should have had more adults in control.

@Lugbzurg: I see what you mean by that.
